How to Beat the Heat!

My solution...sit in my studio and make a cute set of cards for a friend!

Before I did that, though, I was watching tutorials and ran across this Sandy Allnock tutorial on her cute panda set of cards.

I wanted to CASE this set so badly but wasn't sure if I had any stamps that would work. Then I saw my WPLUS9 set called Unforgettable

and knew I could make it work.
So I used the elephant stamps from this set as well as various greenery and flower stamps from other sets. As Sandy indicates in her video, these cards required multiple stamps per card and some hand-drawing as well. So it was indeed a 'time-intensive' set but so much fun!!The images were all stamped on 110 white cardstock and matted with black then placed on the white A2 card front. I added just a touch of color to each card and put that same colored image on the coordinating envelope. I had to do some masking of the flowers and the leaves to keep them from overlapping. I sketched and colored the green portion of the leaves in with Copic Marker. I sketched in the sidewalk and the brick wall, added the scribbles of grass and sketched in half the hillside.

I gave this set to a friend who is going through some health issues. I hope these cheered her up. Creating them made my day!!
