Split Lattice Facebook Live

This card is unique and easy to make. I've had so much fun playing with this design and I hope you do too.

Here's the link to the Facebook Live and to the YouTube video. Below you will find photos of the samples that I did and the cutting measurements

Your card base  will be 11" x 4 1/4", scored at 5 1/2". I used Basic White for my card base on the card I demonstrated.

After you burnish the score, then you'll need to cut 3 1/4" off the bottom of the front. You'll use this piece to cut your slats from. So set the card base aside and using the piece you cut off the front, cut five 1/2" slats. You'll have 3/4" piece left so you'll need to cut this into two equal pieces..app. 3/8".

For the next step, you'll need a low tack tape or a long post-it. Pull off (or cut) a piece app. 6" long as well as 3 small pieces. Watch the video to see how to place your slats and adhere them to the card front.

You can put anything you want on the front. Quiet Meadow works well, as well as the  Cheerful Daisies or any flower! I think you could also put hearts on the lattice and that would look so nice!

You will also need a piece of solid cardstock or patterned paper cut at 3 1/4" x 4 1/4". This piece will adhere to the inside of the card under the trellis portion.

Here are the samples and the card that I demonstrated.

This card backs the Cheerful Daisies with Bubble Bath cardstock and the inside piece is also Bubble Bath. Everything else is white! The gems are Flat Adhesive-Backed Pearls. The sentiment is from the Hope & Prayer stamp set.

I used Pecan Pie cardstock for the base of this sample. I also used Pecan Pie ink and a dauber to distress the edges. The daisies are Basic White with Sweet Sorbet centers and Garden Green boughs cut with the Bough Punch. The sentiment is from Timeless Arrangements as is the sentiment label.

This is the card that I demonstrated on the video so be sure and watch it! The Cheerful Daisies are daubed with Pretty Peacock in the center of the flowers. The paper behind the slats is a piece from Fresh As A Daisy DSP that is mostly Pretty Peacock and Lemon Lime Twist. I also used the same DSP to cut a couple of the fern branches in the Cheerful Daisies bundle. Again, the sentiment and label is from Timeless Arrangements. The gems are the Brushed Metallic Butterflies, used both outside and inside. I also cut an additional smaller daisy to place on the inside.

You need to give this technique a try!! Again, watch the video for complete instructions.
