Stampin' Thursday Mystery Card for Feb. 16, 2023

I hope you were able to watch the video either on my Facebook Page or on You Tube. It is so fun to make this card clue by clue so go give it a try!!

Here is Clue #1 - the supplies that you will need to gather in order to make this card.

Clue #1
1. Card stock that coordinates with your DSP choice - 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" and 3-1/4” x 8-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4”.
2. DSP pattern #1 - 3” x 4” (more of the focal design - pattern will go portrait).
3. DSP coordinating pattern #2 - 1” x 4” (2 pieces- pattern also goes portrait).
4. Basic White or Very Vanilla cardstock - 3” x 4”.
5. Basic White (or vanilla) cardstock to die cut or punch image for focal image (approximately 2-1/2-3”)
6. Coordinating colored cardstock to go behind image from #5 if desired.
7. Basic White (or vanilla) cardstock strip to fit sentiment.
8. Stamps - focal image and sentiment.
9. Coordinating inks, ribbon and embellishments

As you follow the clues, you will begin to see this card come together rather quickly even though there are 13 clues.

The first card I made using this template was using Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper and dies from Cottage Rose. As you can see, I added one of the flower dies to the inside as well. The card base is Early Espresso and the ribbon is Gold Shimmer from the Annual Catalog. The dots are Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots, also from the Annual Catalog. The sentiment is from the Cottage Rose stamp set.

For the next card I made, I decided to go a little more whimsical, using the Playing in the Rain bundle and Rain or Shine Designer Series Paper. I die cut the fox from the DSP and mounted him on a Stylish Shapes circle in Old Olive. The two papers are from the Rain or Shine pack, mounted on a Flirty Flamingo cardstock card base. The ribbon is White Glittered Organdy from the Annual Catalog and the gems are the Rhinestone Basic Jewels also from the AC. The sentiment and the inside stamps are from the Playing in the Rain stamp set.

The last sample I made is using one of my Annual Catalog favorites - Hues of Happiness. For this card, I only used the Designer Series Paper and Hope and Prayer stamp set also from the AC.
I keep a stash of flowers diecut from the DSP, ready to use on a card. So I grabbed a few of the flowers that would coordinate with the paper I used on the front, adhered them with dimensionals and also some with just glue. I added the sentiment with dimensionals, tied the Fresh Fresia ribbon into a bow to glue dot above the sentiment and finished off the card with 3 Pastel Pearls.

I hope you have given this Mystery Card template a try and love it as much as I do!! You can comment or e-mail me from within my profile if you have any questions.
