Cute and Simple Easter Card

On Stampin Thursday's Facebook Live I focused on a layout for a simple Easter card.

As with any sketch, this can be manipulated to suit your own style. The samples below will show how I did that on 3 different cards.

I demonstrated the bunny card on my  Facebook Live/YouTube video. The card base is your standard    8 1/2" by 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4". I used Basic White on all 3 of these. The next layer is your basic mat size - 5 1/4" x 4".  I used Basic Gray. Then for the 3rd layer, I used my Contour Dies on two of the cards and the Stitched Rectangle on the third card. For the bunny card I cut the Pale Papaya DSP from the 2021-2023 In Color 6x6 pack using the 2nd largest Contour Die.

I stamped the bunny on Basic White with Basic Gray ink. I used a very fine tipped black pen to add a little shading under the face and around the arms (which just barely show). I also used the pen to darken the eyes, nose and mouth. I cut this layer with the next to largest Layering Oval Framelits.

The flower is punched from the same DSP pack using the Flowers and Leaves punch. I punched two flowers, rounded the petals up a little then layered them with a dot of glue. I punched two leaves from Mint Macaron cs and attached them to the back of the flower. I adhered the flower to the bunny with Multi-Purpose white glue to look like the bunny is holding the flower.

The sentiment is stamped on Basic White with Basic Gray ink. I bannered it on one end and added it to the card front with dimensionals.

All of this is finished off with a Genial Gem in the center of the flower and a Brushed Brass Butterfly flying away from the flower!

It makes a card really easy when no coloring is required, even though I love to color! Do you?
