Slimline cards have become very popular even though they have been around for awhile. Stampin' Up has come out with a stamp and die set just for slimline cards called Slim Sayings
As you can see, the sentiments are designed for the slimline, and the dies create interesting backgrounds that stretch the length of the card!
I love creating slimline cards so I demonstrated making one on my Facebook Live this week and it is also on YouTube.
Here are the measurements for the supplies I used.
*Basic White cardbase 8 1/2 x 7, scored at 3 1/2 on the 7" side
*Floral Squares dies cut on Basic Black scraps (4 squares)
*New Horizons Designer Series Paper cut 1 3/4" squares (4)

*New Horizons Designer Series Paper cut 1 3/4" squares (4)
*Black strip 1 1/4" x 8 1/2" cut with border die from Flowering Rain Boots for inside
*sentiment from Peaceful Moments stamped with Black Memento ink.
I also used one of the new Stampin Up slimline envelopes and cut a piece to cover the flap from the DSP.
The assembly of the card is easy. Cut the four Floral Squares from Basic Black cardstock. Cut the inside Flowering Rain Boots trim piece from Basic Black as well.
Choose the four colors you want for the backgrounds and cut 1 3/4" square of each.
Then glue the backgrounds to the Floral Squares, Arrange on card front to your liking and glue down.
Stamp the sentiment along the bottom and attach the border piece to the inside.
Choose the DSP you want for the flap of your envelope and trace the flap on the backside of the DSP with a pencil. Cut and adhere to the flap front.
You are done!! Hope you enjoy creating slimline cards!
