The colors used on this card are bright and beautiful! Oddly enough, my inspiration for these colors were the small Shaker Shapes in the Annual Catalog, pg.143.
The colors I used are Granny Apple Green, Bumblebee and Polished Pink.
My card base was Granny Apple Green, 8 1/2 x 5 1/2. The card front was Basic White 4 x 5 1/4. And the flowers I used are Bumblebee and Polished Pink, cut with the Summer Shadows dies, one of the Sale-A-Bration items free with a $100 purchase.
The stamped image is from the Color & Contour stamp set. I used the flower shadow. Using Polished Pink, Granny Apple Green and Bumblebee inks, I alternated stamping across the center of the card front. To give a slightly more subtle image, I stamped off before stamping each color. Then I used the splatter stamp to add a little extra interest with Polished Pink.
I ran the stamped card front through my Cut & Emboss with the largest Scalloped Contour die and attached this to the card base with Stampin Seal.
Using scraps of Polished Pink and Bumblebee cardstock, I cut the larger single flower from the Summer Shadows dies...using both the base image and the outline. Then I assembled the flowers with one of each color glued together with Multipurpose Glue. The two flowers were added to the card front with dimensionals. The sentiment from Color & Contour is stamped with Tuxedo Black and 3 of the Shaker Shapes finished off this card.
I love the bright, cheery colors and think anyone would love to receive this uplifting card!
You can view a tutorial for this card here on YouTube. I need to warn you that I had been live for 6 minutes before I realized it! I edited the 6 minutes out during which I re-arranged my table, checked my hair, looked at the clock, etc. so the video starts when I realize that I'm live!
Thank you for visiting my sight. I hope you will add your e-mail and follow my blog!
