March Class To Go - Stampin' Write Markers and How to Use Them

This will be a 'technique' class where we'll be practicing the various ways to use the Stampin' Write markers. These watercolor markers can be used in so many different ways and achieve a beautiful watercolor look on your cards. Here are three of the cards made in this class.

This card has a Pool Party card base. It also has a piece of the Oh So Ombre paper cut with Ornate Layers die. The Pacific Point oval is cut with the Layering Ovals framelits as is the white oval in the center and both are attached with Stamp N Seal. The flowers were colored and stamped on white cardstock then cut with the Wrapped Flowers dies (can also be fussy-cut).  The wrap at the base of the flowers was stamped on the same Oh So Ombre paper with the newsprint stamp in this set and cut with the square die. This piece is folded along the score lines and the flowers are tucked inside the top of the wrap. Both are attached to the card front with dimensionals. The small white tag is die cut and stamped with For You. An additional tag is cut from the dsp. A Pool Party ribbon is tied in a bow and attached with a glue dot. Then the tags are strung on white twine which is also tied in a bow and attached on the other bow with glue dot. Three 2020-2022 Incolor Enamel Dots finish the card.

This card uses a watercolor wash technique. Add 3-4 colors (including Gorgeous Grape) to an acrylic block. Cut a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper to 3 1/4 x 4 1/4. Spritz the watercolor paper with water then place on the acrylic block over the added colors. Hold for a minute then remove and daub any areas that have too much water or color.. Let dry completely. Once dry, mat this piece with the Basic Black mat. Stamp your image with Memento Tuxedo Black. Add Wink of Stella to the flowers. Attach a 6" piece of Gorgeous Grape ribbon to the card front. Tie a 10" piece of ribbon into a bow and attach with a glue dot. Adhere this to the card base as shown. Cut your sentiment Basic White and Basic Black pieces with the two nested dies in Ornate Layers. Stamp, adhere together and add to card front with dimensionals.

This card has a Crumb Cake card base. A piece of the dark wood paper in In Good Taste, cut to 4 x 5 1/4, as well as Flirty Flamingo and Basic White to 3 1/4 x 4 1/4. Adhere the wood piece to the card base.Attach the Flirty Flamingo in an off set position. Color the stamp using Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green. The newspaper wrap uses Crumb Cake. Give it a good 'huff' and stamp onto the Basic White piece. Use the same colors for the sentiment, huff and stamp to the bottom corner of the card front. Add a Braided Linen Trim bow with a glue dot.

This is a technique that takes practice and patience but the result is wonderful.
