Crockpot Peanut Cluster Candy

One of my favorite traditions at Christmas is making crockpot candy. It is so easy to make and sooo delicious. Each recipe makes around 8-10 dozen...depending on the size of your spoonfuls that you drop. I bag them up in Christmas treat bags and have a gift ready to bless friends who drop by. I also package some up to give to our neighbors. Don't do what I did today, though. I started it on high then got distracted and forgot to turn it down to low. I had to throw the whole batch away...burned! The peanuts were more like coffee beans. I learned a good lesson though!

There are many different variations of this candy. This is the revised one that works for me. There are lots of ways to improvise with this candy...you can use different amounts of the chocolates, or use the chocolate almond bark instead of the chocolates. You can also use pecans or almonds instead of peanuts.

But I'll share the one that I have settled on for my Christmas treat!

16 oz. dry roasted salted peanuts
16 oz. dry roasted unsalted peanuts
10-12 oz. dark chocolate pieces
4 oz. German Sweet Chocolate (break into pieces)
48 oz. white Almond Bark

Put in crockpot in order. Cook on low for 3 hrs....don't lift lid. Turn off and let sit for 20 min. Stir and drop spoonfuls onto wax paper and let cool (about 3 hrs.)

That's it!  Get out your crockpot and give it a try! Good luck!
