Stampin' Up's Color & Contour

Today I'm using a set that has been around for awhile but will be going away in June. So I thought I would show some samples and use it to demonstrate a card for you.

First let's look at this set. The stamps are two step stamping so you have outline stamps and shading stamps for the flowers. It also has a leaf stamp and a splatter stamp. The sentiments are especially meaningful...

Here for you now (outside)
and in better days ahead (inside),
You're absolutely amazing
So very happy for you
Thank you for everything!

And while the stamps are great, the stars of the show are the dies! The five background dies can be used individually or layered, and the scallop die creates a beautiful border. The flower dies, of course, coordinate with the stamp set.

Here are some samples using the stamps and the dies.

This card uses the largest die as a background. The 3 flowers are stamped in Starry Sky, Tahitian Tide and Parakeet Party. The cardbase is Tahitian Tide.

This card has the new Country Gingham Designer Series Paper on the front and a Mint Macaron base. I used the scallop die to create the card front. The 3 flowers are Mint Macaron, Fresh Fresia, and Bermuda Bay.

This card is mounted on a Sweet Sorbet cardbase. Soft Succulent and Basic White are the two diecut layers. The flower stem is stamped in Soft Succulent then the shading stamp is Sweet Sorbet. Soft Succulent ribbon is tied around the top layer. "And in better days ahead" is stamped on the inside on Basic White cut with the largest die.

These last three are the same design but using different color combos. The first one is Calypso Coral and Mossy Meadow. The second is Pale Papaya and Soft Succulent, The third is Sweet Sorbet and Granny Apple Green. Which do you like best?

You can see the YouTube video demonstrating the last design in the Calypso Coral and Mossy Meadow.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Please 'FOLLOW' if you haven't already!  I'd love to know which color combo of the last 3 cards you like the best!

These are the supplies that you need to gather for Clue #1

Colored Cardstock 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Different cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Designer Series Paper  3 3/4" square
Different Coordinating Designer Series Paper  5 1/4" x 1 3/8"
2-3 stamped and diecut (or fussy cut) images, largest app. 2" tall, a couple a little smaller
15" ribbon

You can make your card clue by clue by watching either the Facebook Live or watching on You Tube.
I hope you are able to do that and then I'd love to see your card! You can post a photo of it here in the comments or on my StampinDeDe's Doin's & Designs group page!

Are you ready for the big reveal?? Well, scroll down!

This card used Mango Melody base and Calypso Coral for the smaller cardstock. I then used a pattern from the new Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper available January 1 as a $100 free Sale-A-Bration choice. The images are from the Happy Hedgehog stamp set and punch in the Annual Catalog on page 60. The ribbon is Pale Papaya In-color ribbon.

This card uses Night of Navy card base and Petal Pink as my coordinating color. The Designer Series Paper is the new By the Bay which will be available January 1 in the new Mini Catalog. The images are from the Seaside Bay bundle also available January 1 in the new Mini Catalog on page 22-23. The ribbon is also a part of that suite.

I hope you enjoyed this Mystery Card. If I can help you in any way, please message me or e-mail me at suzyzoo@verizon.net.
