This card is made using the Wonderful World Designer Series Paper and fussy cut the flower from one of the sheets. The cardbase is Blushing Bride and the 2nd cardstock is Rich Razzleberry. The ribbon is Fresh Fresia, the twine is white from the Baker's Twine pack in the Annual Catalog. The gems are the Adhesive Backed Sequins and Gems. The sentiment is from Color & Contour.
This card uses the Santas Express Designer Series Paper. The engine image is also fussy cut from the DSP. The base is Shaded Spruce and the front cardstock piece is Petal Pink. The ribbon is Real Red Mini Ruffled and the twin again is from the Bakers Twine pack. The sentiments are both from retired Itty Bitty Christmas greetings.

I hope that you enjoyed this Mystery Card and will make your own version. I'd love to see a photo of it posted here in the comments or on my Stampindede's Doin's & Designs group page.

Eclipse Card

I've been playing around with a technique that I saw on a Clean & Simple website. It's not a new technique but is new to me. So I decided to try it out with several different stamp sets and a die set. This is a quick and easy but beautiful & unique card to make to send to that friend who needs some love from you!

The Youtube video is available or you can watch it on my Facebook page.

The stamp set I used for the demonstration is a stamp set that can be earned with Sale-A-Bration by making a $100 purchase then selecting Wondeerful World #159918 to receive the stamp set and the coordinating 12x12 Designer Series Paper - all that for free!

The supplies for this eclipse card are

    *Basic White cardstock  8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"; 5" x 3 3/4"; 5 1/4" x 4" (for inside)

    *Basic Black cardstock 5 1/4" x 4"

*Stylish Shapes circle dies (3 smallest)

    *Fresh Fresia ink

    *Black Memento ink

*splatter stamp (I used one from Artistically Inked)

    *Black Stamp N Write marker

    *Black Matte Dots

*Sentiment of choice (I used Happy Birthday from Pansy Patch)

Once you get the white cardbase folded and burnished, you can adhere the black piece. Then you're ready to stamp the Basic White 5 x 3 3/4" cardfront. Stamp the Wonderful World flower with Fresh Fresia. Using a splatter stamp with black ink, add a couple of splatters. Lastly, stamp the sentiment in the black ink as shown. Next you will cut your circles. I used the Stylish Shapes circles, positioning them around the cardfront in the areas I wanted highlighted...the sentiment and part of each flower. Run this through your die cut machine then add a few dots with your Stamp N Write marker to each circle. Adhere this piece to your card base.  Using dimensionals, position each circle in place and adhere. Add a few Black Matte Dots and you are done! Clean and simple!! And easy!

Here are some other sample cards using this same technique with different stamp sets and one word die.

This eclipse card uses the Art Gallery (Annual 158201) floral image.

I had to try this technique out with one of my favorite stamp sets...Wild & Sweet.(Annual 158775)

Then I decided to try a word die so I used the Thanks die from the Amazing Thanks die set (Annual 1578160

And last, because I have Christmas in August on the brain right now, I decided to use the Peace to You Christmas set from the mini catalog (159776),

For this card, I heat embossed the image in clear embossing powder (I think on the video I said 'white' embossing powder but it wouldn't make any difference!). Then I brushed over it with my blending brush and Orchid Oasis ink. I used Stazon ink for my sentiment, Irridescent Rhinestones and White Glittered Organdy Ribbon to finish off the card.

I had lots of fun with this technique and I hope you will give it a try.
