The Scrapbooking Yahoo Group that I am active in, Friends That Scrap, has started a weekly layout and card challenge similar to the on-going Scrap Your Ass Off challenge over at Paper Secrets. Each week a layout sketch and a card sketch will be posted along with a list of requirements to choose from to incorporate into your layout or card. If you get the first week's completed and posted on time, then you are eligible for the 2nd week. There will be a prize at the end to go to "the last man standing'! I think this may go on for awhile because we have some real scrapping machines in this group!! It will definitely be a challenge for me with all the other committments that I have, but I want to give it a try. I have completed both challenges for the first week with time to spare!! WooHoo!
The layout challenge (Friends That Scrap Scrapbook Challenge) for week 1 - Use 1: paper tearing, stamping, distressing. Use 3: 3+ buttons, ribbon, journaling, 3+ pattern paper, 3+ flowers, stickers, rub-ons. Here is the sketch:

Nellie bookmark
My grandchildren love to read and I decided to use Nellie from Little Miss Muffet Challenges to make bookmarks for them. I used Publisher to create the bookmark and the sentiment, Copic markers for nellie and bakers twine on her trunk. I cut around the trunk so that it hangs over the page! I entered this in Little Miss Muffet's Anything Goes challenge as well.

Just for Fun!
I was in the mood to make a card - one with pumpkins - so I did this one just for fun. I'm sure I'll find a special person to send it to! And while I was doing it, I tied it to several challenges.
I used a kraft card base, chevron paper from DCWV Safari Chic stack, image from Digi Darla and colored with Copic markers, sentiment from Stampin' Sisters in Christ , Queen & Co. felt fusion, flower & button from Lilybeedesign and bakers twine. The doily border was cut from a Martha Stewart punch.
- DYSU -kraft paper and twine
- Simon Says Stamp Challenge - chevron
- Little Miss Muffett - something with writing on it
- Stampin' Sisters in Christ - harvest/Fall
- Catch the Bug - button, tag, flower
- Card a Day Blog - harvest
- Perfect Sentiments (PSC49) - Fall/twine
- Simple Salutations Challenge 11 - Autumn/Fall
- C.R.A.F.T. Challenge - Autumn

Mojo Monday 257
I made this card for a young family who will be moving to Rwanda in a few weeks as missionaries. The Mojo sketch seemed perfect. I used paper from the K&Co.Life Journey pad as well as some Bazzill scraps. The stamped image is from the Cloud9Design set 'Home' and is colored with Copic markers. It is cut with Nestabilities. I used Publisher to create the sentiment. The strip is Heidi Swapp tape and the border is cut with the Creative Memories Border Making System. I made the flowers with punches and used pearl bling for the centers.
